Required APA 7th edition for references and citations

Personal Philosophy and Framework: My personal philosophy as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is rooted in patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, and continuous learning. I believe in holistic healthcare that encompasses the physical, emotional, and social aspects of individuals and families. My framework aligns with the competencies outlined by professional and accrediting agencies, emphasizing the integration of nursing theory, clinical expertise, and the latest research findings into my practice.

Nurse Theorist: I align my practice with the nursing theory of Dorothea Orem, particularly her Self-Care Deficit Nursing Theory. Orem’s emphasis on individuals’ ability to engage in self-care aligns with my belief in empowering patients to actively participate in their health management.

Educational Courses and Professional Requirements: To obtain APRN professional certification and licensing, I will pursue a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. The courses will cover advanced pathophysiology, pharmacology, health assessment, and specialized courses in family nursing. In my state, certification and licensing requirements will include clinical practice hours, national certification through bodies like the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB), and compliance with state regulations.

Variances in regulations, scopes of practice, and educational requirements exist, requiring a global perspective to understand and contribute effectively to healthcare systems worldwide.
